“Elite Japanese Language School” -Act to achieve goal and keep your faithエリート日本語学校

Teacher Introduction: Mr. Kimura

For today, we will be sharing with you the interview we had with Mr. Kimura, one of our well-known teachers in Elite, also known as the “guardian deity” of the higher education department.

1. Why did you want to become a Japanese teacher?

When I was in high school, I went abroad in the US to study for a year. I wanted to get a job that could make use of the English language even just a little, so I decided to become a Japanese teacher. When I was abroad, I realized that there’s a lot about Japan that I didn’t know, that made me want to learn more about my own country and share with people my knowledge when it comes to Japan.

2. What do you enjoy most about being a Japanese teacher?

Personally, I think it’s when students make a genuine reaction/expression when they understand my explanation.

3.What are some things to be careful when students pursue higher education?

I think one of the important factors is to know the purpose about pursuing higher education. I know there are some students whose goals are just to go to college or vocational school without any other reason.

However, in reality, aspects like, how do you want to mature or grow when you to college, what kind of person would you like to be, what you want to do in your career—these are just some things that you have to deal with after graduation. The goal after graduation is important. That’s why students are always asked about it during interviews. Through the examination process, stop once and think about what you really want to do, and with my strength and guidance, we can fully express it in your full potential.

. Is there anything you would like to say to the students who will be taking the exam?

Being able to read, write, and speak Japanese determines 90% of your actual progress. It is especially important to be able to speak during interviews. Don’t forget to practice speaking, anytime, anywhere. Practice so hard to the point where every word in Japanese is enunciated well. Then, you will be able to speak, read, and write sentences naturally. Good luck!

5.Please give a message to students will be coming to Japan!

From now on, you can be anything you want to be, you can do whatever job you want to do.

Set in mind the goals that you want to achieve and accomplish, try to plan everything—from choosing the kind of things you want to study to what job you really want to do. Try to have a solid purpose for your dreams and for yourself.

If you come to Japan with a dream, you will be able to do it. No doubt.

It is clear that your efforts from now on will definitely affect and have an impact on your plans and dreams.
